Welcome to Lovely Lanes!

I began blogging back at the beginning of 2011. My posts were sporadic (at best) and did not have a cohesiveness that I really longed for. I got engaged December of that year and continued to feel the pull towards blogging as a way to document the wedding planning that was sure to ensue, but again life got in the way and the posts became fewer and far between. Then God decided to throw a curve ball at me and place it on my fiance and my heart that he was to move to Nashville. 

So began my long distance relationship. 

And my devouring of any blog I could about couples going through long distance relationships, as well as the return of the pull to blog. So here I am starting a new adventure and a brand new blog. 

Follow along as I bounce from topic to topic, depending on what moves me on any given day.  Possibilities include: recipes, decor inspiration, gift ideas, book reviews, faith, and family. 

Here are some fast facts to bring you up to speed.  In the past year, I got engaged, a long distance relationship, and figured out I am going to be an elementary teacher.

My favorite things in life include: God, chocolate, all things Disney, puppies, the color blue,  monograms, swirly fonts, the movie Cinderella (the animated Disney one), watching and re-watching favorite TV series, pen and paper to-do lists, Harry Potter, READING, surprises, shopping, and conquering a challenge or a particularly difficult Google search.
